I've enjoyed reading about the KBGA and am hopeful of growing either grapes or
blueberries, on a small scale, in the future. We have recently moved to the Cherokee
National Forest area in the TN mountains and in an attempt to improve the
appearance, while preserving and nurturing our land, I'm exploring ways to
create some economic return in the future--retirement years--Blueberries are
indigenous to this area and once we've lived here for all the seasons, perhaps
the correct way to preserve and beautify our nearly two acres, will become
evident. Thank You for your article.

The only article that caught my attention - and that I
read through completly - was the feature article; Going Organic: Big Decision,
Long Process.I have a Cailfornia native plant/wetland nursery on the
California coast.Almost 20 years ago I
made the decision to become an I.P.M. (Integreted Pest Management)
nursery. It too took a couple of years
to fully be in effect. But now I could
not be happier with that decision...

Totally appreciated the article "Increase Profits and Quality with the
Right Equipment." This is the kind of information people need! Really
like how it addressed more than one need for growers.
We
created a brochure for the Columbia Farmers' Market that includes a
chart with our harvest dates. Customers new to shopping at a Farmers'
Market need the harvest dates to understand seasonal items and
availability. It also helps in planning food preservation for a special
localvore Thanksgiving dinner!
Thank you for a factual publication. Can't wait to read Part 2 of "We Asked, You Answered."

Thanks for your wonderful article about the greensboro farmers curb market. I am a vendor there . I think it is a wonderful market and you did a wonderful job representing us. Thanks.

I'm the South Anchorage Farmers' Market reporter, and I write our weekly
e-newsletter, filled with information about what's fresh at the market. I also
include lots of recipes for how to use our bountiful Alaskan produce. I wanted
to let you know that I love your magazine! It's filled with so much information
and so many great ideas! The stories and photos of other markets inspire me to
think outside the box... Thanks again for a great magazine!
- Alison A., South Anchorage Farmers' Market Reporter
I LOVE your magazine. I went to a regional workshop for market managers and several (out of about 30) had copies of Farmers' Markets Today!!! It is very useful to us AND to Boards of Directors, sponsors, landowners, municipalities, and more. Thank you and Mary Shepherd for your enthusiasm...
- Amy, Nelson Farmers Market
I love what you're doing - it's a fabulous resource! I have sent an email earlier to my vendors who are online, letting them know about your excellent publication. I will send another message today, to let them know about your special.
- Tracey, Emporia Farmers' Market
I love this magazine. We take our one copy to the market every time we get it. So, we would love to get extra copies. We have about 25 TRUE farmers that come to our market. Thanks for the offer and I am sure they all will sign up for the subscription.
- Terrie, City of Bristol
We would love to have about 20 copies of your magazine for our vendors, or whatever you can spare... I especially liked the article in the last edition about having a garage sale at the market once a year to elicit new customers. Thank you so much.
- Jeanne, Arkansas
If you have 10 extra copies, that would be great! This is a really nice publication. I've been encouraging vendors to sign up, but if they have their own copies, I think more will take advantage of this offer.
- Dyan, CFAM, Colorado
I would love some copies to pass out. I think the magazine is wonderful! I have received two issues so far and highly recommend it to all my vendors...

Farmers' Markets Today
e-mailed a survey to 1200 of our readers who manage or sell at a
farmers market or who are involved with a market in some other role. We
received a 37 percent response rate and learned some great things about
our readers and their markets.
